PREPARING FOR PROSTHETIC TREATMENT

Before starting any kind of therapy we have to
remember about:

  • x-ray image
  • treating any carietic defects, removing dental calculus and deposit,
proper education concerning mouth care (see prophylaxis)
  • eventual canal treatment (see endodontics)
  • reconstructing and enforcing of damaged dental core with poured or fiber glass inlays

CROWN AND ROOT POURED INLAYS

They are made of fine and common metal alloys. Their task is to reconstruct destroyed
tooth core. Their disadvantage is dark metallic color and poor adhesion to dentine.
They can’t be combined with ceramic work.
