REENDO – REPEATED CANAL TREATMENT

Very often after having panoramic x-ray done, it is visible that one or more teeth
require repeated canal therapy ( so called reendo).

We see in the x-ray image:

  • Not properly, not completely filled canals
  • Amputation treatment of the teeth
  • Canals with residual dead pulp
  • Canals with chronic inflammation around the root
(black spot in the apical area)
  • Canals with left broken files

Tooth left in this condition are potential sites for infection.

What does it mean?
In this situation immunological balance is
disturbed, it comes to harmful interaction with
our organism, symptoms from other organs
become aggravated (eyes, heart, kidneys and
bones)

Untreated pulp inflammation leads to necrosis, and after some time to gangrene
(pulp decomposition) and chronic periapical inflammation. This condition is visible
in the x-ray image.

Chronic periapical inflammation,
incorrectly treated canals, broken
endodontic files in the canals
Removal of broken files,
attempt of approach (x-ray image)

Removal of another broken tool, final filling
with use of lateral condensation method
