Root apex resection

This is a surgical procedure in which root apex is cut off andgranulation
surrounding the apex is removed.

Resection is performed when endodontic therapy is not possible.

If indications and procedure technique are correct, the result of
tooth root apex resection heavily depends on good canal preparation
and filling.

This procedure is done in local anesthesia, which gives relative comfort for the patient.
